Writing a Paper
The Writing Center is a free service available to all members of the UNCG community, including students, faculty, and staff. We offer one-on-one consulting in person and online about a variety of writing issues, from developing thesis statements and organization to citation styles and last-minute polishing. While most of our visitors bring in papers they are writing for courses, we also help with personal writing (application essays, cover letters, personal statements, and personal letters) and business writing (articles for publication, professional letters).
The University Libraries offers a wide variety of services and materials for the UNCG community. Get help with research and citations or take advantage of a quiet place to get your work done.
Giving a Presentation
The University Speaking Center provides one-on-one tutoring and instructional workshop services designed to help our speakers further develop their oral communication confidence and competence. Assistance is offered in the preparation and delivery of speeches, development of knowledge and skill in interpersonal communication, and group or team communication.
The Office of Accessibility Resources & Services (OARS) believes that every student has the capability to be successful. Specific accommodations are unique to every student.
